designEX Melbourne

DesignEX is one of Australia’s premier design and interiors trade fairs which was held in Melbourne in May. With the latest innovations and design trends on show, we headed there to find some new products and inspiration. This year the soft furnishings and decorative products stood out from the inbuilt and hard surfaces, with many beautiful colours and tactile fabrics on display. While the stands were smaller and simpler in the decorative area, they seemed to have packed in as much product and inspiration as possible. Lighting also had many stand out products, and many of our favourite designs and products from the show are produced by Australian designers… which we love!!!       Here are our picks from the fair;

Lattitude pendants :: directional pendants with a neat shape – love the teal colour::


Rain lighting :: flute shaped lights which throw pretty patterns on the walls ::

Adnet mirror :: leather wrapped hanging mirrors – very cool and available from Cult ::

Cloth Fabric

Cloth fabric :: beautiful subtle patterns printed on textural natural fabrics such as hemp ::


Matrix veneer :: beautiful highly textured veneer from Cleaf ::
