With winter well and truly upon us, I feel the urge to create a cosy sense of warmth within my home. Warmth can be created by using many different elements apart from the obvious (heat). Elements like lighting, textural fabrics, warm colours and scrumptious cooking smells all add to the perfect feeling of warmth that we all crave during the winter season. So this month, we’ve put together some of our favourite products and ideas to help you create a feeling of warmth within your own home.

Blankets and Throws by Kate and Kate. We love snuggling up with a cosy blanket on a cold winters night! These soft cotton blankets in fun patterns and colours do the trick, while adding colour, texture and pattern to our living room.

Let’s face it, we all crave richer, warmer comfort foods in winter. We love these terracotta slow cookers from Royal VKB – simply place your ingredients into the slow cooker and allow to cook in the oven while you relax with your super snuggly Kate and Kate blanket!

There’s nothing better in winter than having beautiful warm bedlinen and lots of lovely blankets and throws on your bed. This beautiful range is by Pure Linen and as the name states, all of their product range is made from 100% pure linen – just beautiful to the touch.

Lappish Style brings Finnish culture to the Australian home with their imported range of beautifully soft Reindeer hides.  In Finland, reindeer have long been part of the Finnish culture and provide meat, milk and raw materials for clothing and tools – the hide is a by product, making it eco-friendly and sustainable!

The product range by Mud have long been a favourite of ours! Beautifully fine and delicate ceramics in a range of gorgeous colours. We would love to cosy up each night with a pot of herbal tea out of their winter range pictured here!

There is nothing better than getting out of a nice hot shower and wrapping yourself up in a toasty warm towel! We love the new style of heated towel rails by Hydrotherm – they are a great option if you only have a narrow space to fit towel rails in your bathroom.

Here’s one of those products where pictures don’t do justice – these wool rugs feel beautiful, and we love the round shape! These rugs by VM Carpet hail from Finland (just realising this is the second Finnish product within the one blog!) and are available in these two stylish colour ways that are versatile enough for almost any interior setting.

Lamps are a great way to add warmth to a space, they are often a softer light than our usual overhead lighting and can make your space feel nice and cosy. We love these Muffins lamps from Brokis available with different coloured glass shades.

Bright spring/summer colours incorporated in your interior can help chase away those winter blues. Soft furnishings and artwork such as this Megan Weston piece are great way to incorporate colours into your space.
